Care2

Care2 is the largest online social network empowering 6.5 million socially conscious people to discover, share and take action. For hundreds of leading nonprofits, Care2 is a preferred source for online recruitment of new members, supporters and donors. Nonprofit organizations find that acquiring new members and donors through Care2 is more cost effective than traditional recruitment. Development directors also find that the new members they recruit from Care2 turn out to be among the most engaged, loyal and valuable members that they can find anywhere.

The Care2 network grows by more than 5,000 people per day, attracted by the many online community tools offered on our site. Embracing the community-oriented spirit of social networks like MySpace and Facebook, the Care2 network is characterized by members who value social justice, saving the environment and living healthier, more sustainable lives. Our tools are focused toward enabling people to connect and "make a difference."

Center for American Progress

The Center for American Progress Action Fund is a progressive think-tank dedicated to improving the lives of Americans through ideas and action. We are creating a long-term, progressive vision for America—a vision that policy makers, thought-leaders and activists can use to shape the national debate and pass laws that make a difference.

Our mission is to transform progressive ideas into policy through rapid response communications, legislative action, grassroots organizing and advocacy, and partnerships with other progressive leaders throughout the country and the world. The Center for American Progress Action Fund is headed by John D. Podesta, former chief of staff to President William J. Clinton and a professor at Georgetown University Center of Law.

Democracy in Action

DemocracyInAction believes that technology can be a decisive force for social change. We're a progressive nonprofit whose core activity is providing tools and strategy to other progressive nonprofits for pennies on the dollar relative to the fees demanded by the private sector. We democratize e-activism, freeing practitioners to pour resources into mission and strategy.

Zanby

Based in Minneapolis, MN, Zanby was created on the premise that community organizing and meeting sites, by their very grassroots nature, should be available to all, not just those who can afford the fees. Zanby’s vision is to provide community as software service to organizations—from small neighborhood groups to businesses to enterprise class organizations. The company launched in January of 2006 with a base set of personal and group organizing tools. In June of 2007, Zanby will evolve to offer out-of-the-box functionality typically associated with popular community platforms with a dashboard of tools that allows owners to manage the community. The Zanby suite of tools will allow organizations to easily create hierarchical, connected, networks of groups with the ability to manage, customize, brand and connect as an organization, without sacrificing a rich community of individuals.
