Click-through rate is the percentage of people who receive your e-mail and actually click on the action link contained within.

It is probably the most important number to monitor over the course of an online campaign. It reflects not only the number of actions you're getting to your target, but also how well your message resonated with its recipients, whether they be existing or potential new members who received a forward.
