Powershift

Power Shift is the premiere youth-driven climate organizing event in America, bringing together thousands of activists from around the country to learn, plan, and take action together.

In 2011, we were proud to partner with Energy Action Committee to train youth climate organizers from around the country in the core skills of organizing and movement building. Over the course of just 10 weeks, we trained 35 lead trainers, 120 coaches, 799 facilitators, who in turn trained nearly 10,000 participants.

Power Shift participants are running campaigns on campuses and in communities targeting coal plants, advocating for clean energy, and environmental justice, among other issues. We're honored to have played a part in the largest grassroots organizer training in American history.
