From its inception in 2005, NOI has leveraged its training program and the existing progressive community to build a vast network of tech-savvy organizers. We've trained hundreds of organizers how to use technology and we've engaged and challenged movement organizations to make new media and organizing technology central to their strategies for making progressive change.
The core of NOI is our trainings program, and NOI alumni are now rooted in the progressive organizing community. We've run BootCamp, webinars, RootsCamp, the Progressive Movement Crash Course, Campaign Manager trainings, Nonprofit Trainings, and more! Check it out here.
Media Talent 2.0
The Media Talent 2.0 program will cultivate a small number of the culture-changing organizers and will provide a platform for these "new organizers" to create progressive media messaging. With a team of top professionals led by New York theatre director and media strategist/trainer Joel Silberman, Media Talent 2.0 will find, train, and promote new progressive media stars, teaching the tools and techniques used by professionals to create star presence. We will also teach branding and self-promotion, particularly as it relates to new media and organizing. Find out more here.
RootsCampDC 2010
Instead of relying on the tired old format of workshop proposals and a pre-set agenda, RootsCamp is a dynamic participant-led event that brings organizers together to learn from each other's successes and failures. The event is led by progressive organizers from all issue areas and generates a productive, fast-paced, and unscripted learning environment. Register now for the February 20 - 21 event or learn more here.
Data BootCamp 2010
Webinars allow people across the globe to hop on to an NOI training for an hour, right from their own computer. Topics span from best practices of email writing to finding jobs to web development to text messaging to data and analytics. Check out previous topics here.
