Crescendo

Crescendo, a project of the NOI, was launched this year to expand the work of progressive online organizing groups overseas.  With the world's attention focused on President Barack Obama and how he’s using new media tools to govern with unprecedented openness and citizen participation, now is the time to start supporting progressive online organizing infrastructure in other countries across the world.

Crescendo will serve to catalyze and launch start-up progressive organizing groups in a sustainable way; advise and train existing progressive organizations; and develop new methods to overcome technical barriers and reach communities.

Through Crescendo, NOI recognizes that the development of strong progressive online organizing institutions in other countries and worldwide would drastically increase the ability of progressives to push public opinion, elections, and government decision-making toward more humanitarian, sustainable, and peaceful conclusions.
