Researchers David Broockman and Ethan Roeder present their findings
In this research NOI analyzes extensive census, polling, and voter file data to quantify the impact of investing in Hispanic voters all over the map.
- Hispanics are Swing Voters. Using historical data we show that Hispanic voters are among the most volatile demographic segments in the electorate in terms of partisan support.
- Hispanics are Growing. Building projections on US Census and voter file data, we quantify when, where, and by how much Latino voters will grow as a share of all voters in the coming decades.
- Investing in Latino Voters is a Smart Investment. We combine our findings to create actionable models of the impact of investment in Latino voters by three criteria: registration rates, voting rates, and partisan support.
- Hispanics Respond to Voter Contact. We reanalyze voter contact experiments and prove that established and cutting-edge voter contact tactics that are effective among all voters are also effective among Hispanic voters.
