Get the Tip of the Day via email.
At the end of a campaign or project, there's often not enough time to properly reflect and debrief before moving onto the next big thing. The last thing you are going to want to do is move all of your files and documents off your computer. A way to speed up the debrief process is to start backing up and organizing your files now.
Organize all of the files you download from your email as you download them, rather than sending them all to a disastrous default "downloads" folder. Wondering how? Check it out:
With Google Chrome: Open your preferences, and click on "Show Advanced Settings." Under "Downloads," check the box for "Ask where to save each file before downloading."
With Mozilla Firefox: Open up your preferences. Under the "General" tab, under "Downloads," choose "Always ask me where to save files."
Now you'll have a reminder every time you download a file to save that file in the correct project folder! A few extra clicks now will save you a ton of work closer to Election Day.
How do you organize important documents and files? Let us know in the comments on the blog.
