As you wrap up your campaigns, you've probably got a lot of random office supplies left around. Why not continue the mission to make the world better by putting them to good use?
A New Jersey public school teacher started a petition asking both the Obama and Romney campaigns donate all those pens, pencils, rolls of tape, and other supplies to those who could use it in the public school systems.
Here are the steps she's recommending:
- Inventory your leftover supplies.
- Depending where your office is based, call the local school district or an individual school and tell them what you have. If you already know a teacher who could use some supplies, that's great, too.
- Offer to set the supplies aside or offer to drop them off.
- Feel good knowing that you took a little time to give back to the communities where you have been campaigning.
