Your Facebook Timeline is a great opportunity to tell the story of your organization. Since you can now add events in the past, you have the ability to create a narrative that tells the whole story of your work (or your personal life!).
But some events are more important than others, and you want them to stand out when people scroll through your Timeline. Thankfully, Timeline offers a nifty, and easy, way to make certain content items stand out from the crowd: the Highlight feature.
To Highlight an item, just hover your mouse over the piece of content, and click the little star that appears in the upper right corner. Bam! Now that content will span the full width of the page, making it stand out from the content around it.
One caveat: if you Highlight a photo, you want to make sure it's the right dimensions. Images displayed in a featured post should be 843x403 pixels. If you don't trim your image to that size before uploading, Facebook will crop it to those dimensions, and you may end up with a piece of the picture that doesn't show quite what you want.
