Labor New Media BootCamp: Which side are you on?

Wisconsin. Ohio. Michigan. Indiana. Florida. Maine.

This year, conservative lawmakers and corporate interests have worked to strip workers of their right to organize for a better wage and a brighter future in those states. But they won't stop there.

A strong union workforce protects all of us. As workers come under attack, it's critical that unions have the best tools to fight back. That's why we're proud to announce Labor New Media BootCamp, December 4-10.

Apply now to join Labor New Media BootCamp in Washington, DC, December 4-10.

When conservative lawmakers and their corporate friends pushed a union-busting bill in Madison, bloggers and organizers raised the alarm. Everyday people took up the call, flooding social networks, and the word spread like wildfire through the state and around the country. What was supposed to sneak through one state legislature became a national flashpoint. And New Media helped drive that conversation.

Organized labor faces huge obstacles today. But there are also new opportunities to push the fight for a fair economy to new frontiers. By integrating strategic New Media campaigns, unions are already reaching new audiences and building coalitions with everyday citizens.

Labor New Media BootCamp is designed to help those working for workers' rights build and run powerful New Media programs. Attendees will learn to develop and run strategic online campaigns. We're looking for union organizers who want to expand their capacity, and organizers who want to join the Labor movement. If you have a passion for Labor organizing and you want to build powerful New Media campaigns, I hope you'll apply.

The application deadline is Friday, November 11. Apply now!

If we want a fair economy and good jobs in the 21st Century, we need a strong Labor movement. If you want to make your union stronger with a powerful online program, we want you at Labor New Media BootCamp.
