Introducing Data BootCamp 2010

As candidate and advocacy campaigns become more effective by using better data, there is a growing need for professional, trained data managers. We wanted to help fulfill that need for the 2010 election cycle, so today we launched the application for Data BootCamp 2010, an intensive, five-day training for future data managers hosted by the most successful practitioners in the industry.

The training will be here in DC from February 28th to March 4th. And we’ll be able to cover the training fees for those admitted—we’re particularly excited about that. We’re looking for smart, motivated progressives with a demonstrated commitment to organizing and a basic aptitude for working with data. Once you’re in, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to go straight into a position as a data manager on a campaign. You'll learn the fundamentals of working with political data and voter files, how data informs field strategy, the role of a data manager on a campaign, and how to use the cutting-edge tools that are revolutionizing campaigns.

Sounds fun? We think so too. Apply now and we’ll see you in February!
