About NOI

At NOI, a 501c4 non-profit, we develop the practice of engagement organizing, and leaders who are great at it.

We want to live in a world in which people have decent, healthy lives and meaningful opportunities to pursue happiness.  We want to build an organizing culture and set of practices that not only wins campaigns and improves people’s lives in the short-term, but builds stronger communities, people, and democracy in the longer-term.

Engagement organizing is a strong response to the recognition that the change we want will only come by engaging the full capacity of people around a compelling vision they believe in, and that that positive change is made by campaigns and organizations that identify and develop the leaders who live in all communities. Engagement organizing is a way of working that is consistent with deep American and progressive values. It’s also the best way to kick ass – to win and to keep winning change that improves peoples lives.
