About NOI

NOI runs the only progressive advocacy and campaign training program focused on cutting-edge online organizing techniques (e.g. writing effective emails, engaging bloggers, leveraging social networks, utilizing video), political technology (e.g. using data effectively, progressive technology infrastructure), and the intersection with field and management of these areas of new organizing.

The mission of NOI is:

• To train and support a new generation of technology-enabled campaigners.
• To consolidate and disseminate knowledge gained in the field of political technology and online organizing.
• To conduct new research and post-campaign investigations that employ results-focused, systems thinking to make progressive campaigns and organizations more efficient.

An extensive network of top practitioners and consultants serve as NOI trainers and guest consultants. The New Organizing Institute teaches online organizers to question and challenge existing best practices, and to apply proven online organizing principles in new and creative ways to achieve progressive change. NOI also takes on special projects using technology to address existing gaps and problems in the progressive infrastructure.
